Privacy policy
What Zamarin & Co. collects when you use this site, why, who it goes to, and how to get it removed.
Who we are
Zamarin & Co. Advisory Partners is the business name used by Aliona Zamarin, an independent insurance producer licensed in NC, SC, FL, TX, VA, OH, MI, WA, PA and MA, working in partnership with Symmetry Financial Group. She operates as a sole proprietor, so the person responsible for the information you give us is Aliona herself, not a company. This policy covers this website and the intake forms on it.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus basic technical data every website receives.
- Contact information. Your name, email address, phone number, and preferred time to be reached.
- Coverage information. If you use the coverage form: what you want to protect, the coverage amount you are considering, whether you use nicotine or tobacco, and how you would describe your overall health. You choose from general options. We do not ask for medical records, diagnoses, or prescriptions on this site.
- Career application information. If you apply as an agent: your current situation, what is motivating the change, your income goal, whether you hold a life insurance license and in which states, your LinkedIn profile if you provide it, and your resume if you upload one.
- Technical information. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site or ad that referred you, and campaign parameters in the link you followed. If you check the consent box, we also record the date, time, IP address, and the exact wording you agreed to, because we are required to be able to show what you consented to.
A note on health information
The tobacco and general health questions in the coverage form are information about your health. We treat them accordingly. Zamarin & Co. is not a healthcare provider or a health plan, so this site is not covered by HIPAA. That does not lower our obligations to you. We collect the minimum needed to produce a realistic estimate, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not disclose it except to the carriers and service providers described below.
Why we use it
- To have a licensed agent contact you about the request you submitted.
- To produce coverage estimates and, if you proceed, to submit applications to insurance carriers on your behalf.
- To evaluate agent applications and to communicate with candidates.
- To send you follow-up messages about insurance products and services, where you have given consent.
- To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to the site, and to keep the site secure and working.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
- Insurance carriers and their underwriters, when you ask us to seek coverage for you. Each carrier applies its own privacy policy to what it receives.
- Symmetry Financial Group, our partner organization, for agency operations, agent onboarding, and supervision.
- Service providers that operate this site and our pipeline on our behalf, under contract and only for that purpose. Today those are our website host, our transactional email provider, and our customer relationship management system.
- Law enforcement, regulators, or courts, where we are legally required to respond.
Calls, texts, and emails
Our forms ask for two different permissions, and they are deliberately separate.
- Permission to contact you. This one is required to submit a form, because the entire purpose of the form is to have a licensed agent get back to you. It covers a reply by email or a call placed by a person to the number you gave us.
- Consent to automated calls and texts. This one is optional. It is express written consent for marketing calls and text messages delivered using an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice. You are not required to agree to it, directly or indirectly, as a condition of purchasing anything, and declining changes nothing about the service you receive.
If you skip the second box, we will not put your number into an automated dialer or a text campaign. You will still hear back. Message and data rates may apply to any texts you do agree to receive. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, tell any agent on a call to remove you, or email us. Any of those works, and it takes effect for both permissions.
We record which boxes you checked, when, from what IP address, and the exact wording that was on screen at the time, because we have to be able to show what you agreed to.
Cookies and analytics
This site stores a small record in your browser session so that campaign information from the link you clicked survives while you read, and so your progress is not lost. We may use analytics and advertising measurement tools, which set their own cookies and are described in their own policies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings. The site works without them, though form progress may not persist.
How long we keep it
We keep lead and client records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet insurance recordkeeping requirements, which vary by state and carrier and commonly run several years past the end of a policy. We keep consent records for at least as long as the law requires us to be able to prove consent. Agent application materials, including resumes, are kept while the application is active and for a reasonable period afterward. You can ask us to delete anything we are not required to retain.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to opt out of certain uses. Several of the states we are licensed in have privacy laws granting these rights, and we extend the same process to everyone regardless of state.
To make a request, email us with the subject line Privacy Request. We will confirm your identity before acting, so that nobody can request your information by pretending to be you, and we will respond within the time your state allows.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are encrypted in transit, and access to lead records is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, and we will not tell you otherwise. Please do not send medical records, Social Security numbers, or account numbers through the forms on this site. A licensed agent will tell you the secure way to provide anything sensitive when it is actually needed.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we use information you already gave us will be communicated directly.
