The platform behind the practice

What you are actually joining when you join Zamarin and Co.

Zamarin and Co. is the business name of Aliona Zamarin, an independent insurance producer working in partnership with Symmetry Financial Group. That sentence does a lot of quiet work, so it is worth unpacking what it means for someone deciding whether to build a career here.

You are not captive to one carrier

Captive agents sell one company's products, which means every client conversation ends at the same place whether or not that place fits. Independent agents work across a panel of A rated carriers and place each client with whoever underwrites their situation best. A smoker, a diabetic, and a healthy thirty-year-old are three different problems, and they are rarely solved well by the same company.

That difference changes how the job feels. You stop steering and start advising, which is the only version of this work that lasts.

Leads, honestly described

You are not cold calling and you are not working your friends and family list. Symmetry runs a direct mail and digital lead system that reaches people who requested information about protecting their mortgage or their family, and those requests are what you work.

Leads are purchased, not free, which nobody should hide from you. What you get in exchange is a person who raised their hand, a phone number, and a reason to call. The economics only work if you treat that list with respect and speed.

Warm leads do not make the job easy. They make it possible.

Training, and the part that is not training

There is a structured onboarding path, product schools, carrier certifications, and a library of recorded sessions you can work through at your own pace. That covers the mechanics.

The part that actually determines whether someone makes it is mentorship. Aliona works appointments alongside new agents, listens to real calls, and debriefs honestly afterward. That is slower and less scalable than a course, and it is the reason people stay.

You own what you build

Your book of business is yours. Renewals follow you. If you eventually build a team, you build it under your own agency rather than handing it upward. That structure is the point of the whole arrangement.

Still reading? That is usually a sign.

Take the two minute fit assessment, or just call Aliona and ask the awkward questions directly.

Educational content only, not financial or legal advice. Product availability, pricing, and requirements vary by state and carrier, and all coverage is subject to application, underwriting, and carrier approval.
